The journey towards empowering girls and reshaping futures through the Girl Power Project® has taken its first inspiring steps in Meerut. After meticulous groundwork and a comprehensive baseline survey, we are thrilled to share that the program is now actively underway in selected schools, heralding a transformative chapter.

In 5 institutions from Meerut District covering; Meerut city, Hapur Road, Kharkhauda and Daurala, the Girl Power Project® has found fertile ground, embracing the aspirations and challenges of approximately 400 girls. The program’s core, centered on life skills training and mentoring, resonates deeply with these young minds as they navigate the pivotal juncture of adolescence. By addressing critical topics and providing tools for informed decision-making, the program is equipping them to stay in school, evade early marriage, combat societal pressures, and envision a future of education, independence, and dignity.
Major Milestones We’ve Accomplished!

Completed a thorough assessment of needs in different schools.

Chose 5 schools based on the assessment and signed agreements (MOUs) with all 5 schools.

Conducted a baseline survey in all selected schools to gather important information.

Finished a pre-survey with 400 girls to understand their situations and needs.

Organized community meet-ups in 4 schools, where a special event was held to sign agreements with the girls’ guardians.
What We Are Looking Forward to –

Successfully completing Phase 1 of GPP in all 5 schools, positively affecting around 400 girls.

Nurturing the first phase of the Girl Power Project®, a 20-hour workshop aimed at sparking important discussions and fostering a better grasp of the key challenges faced by teenage girls.

Empowering girls with fundamental social survival skills, equipping them with essential tools to navigate life effectively.

Providing an opportunity for girls to dive deeper into the project, encouraging continued growth and learning beyond the initial phase.
